Mission Partner Organizations
Connecting with God’s mission in the world
Murray Presbyterian Church has longstanding relationships with a network of ministries at home and abroad that we support in various ways. These valued mission partners help us carry out the Great Commission task of taking the Good News to all the world.
Salvatore Clinic (El Cortijo, Guatemala): This Christian clinic serving the health care needs of an impoverished rural area of Guatemala is a ministry dear to hearts of people at Murray Presbyterian. The clinic’s chapel is named in memory our former pastor, Rev. Dr. Martin (Marty) McDaniel, and the recently-opened pediatric wing is a beautiful tribute to the life of Pastor Marty’s granddaughter, Madelyn Shumaker.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Conestoga Chapter): MPC supports this outreach ministry to students at Conestoga Jr./Sr. High school and young people from our congregation actively participate in the chapter’s twice-monthly meetings in the school gymnasium.
Calvin Crest: A Presbyterian camp, conference, and retreat center located in Fremont Nebraska with a longstanding connection to our congregation. Our former pastor, Rev. Joe Barr, was instrumental in establishing the camp, generations of youngsters from our congregation have attended summer camps there, and one of our elders currently serves on the board.
Missouri River Valley Presbytery / Synod of Lakes and Prairies / General Assembly of Presbyterian Church (USA): Specially designated offerings support the local and global mission of our denomination, the Presbyterian Church (USA).
“Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all.”
(Mark 16:15, The Message)
